c. Ban Co Peak
Ban Co Peak is considered the “roof of Da Nang,” located at the top of Son Tra Peninsula, about 9–10 km northwest of the city center. Standing at around 700 meters above sea level, it offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the coastal city of Da Nang from above. This site is also associated with the legend of a fairy sage and De Thich (the God of Chess), which is why there is a statue of De Thich sitting in contemplation beside a stone chessboard.

Hai Van Gate is a solid defensive military structure built in the 7th year of Emperor Minh Mang’s reign (1826). The structure is located at the top of Hai Van Pass, at an altitude of 496 meters above sea level, marking the boundary between Lang Co Town, Phu Loc District (Thua Thien Hue Province) and Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Lien Chieu District (Da Nang City). It is about 90 km south of Hue City center and around 28 km north of Da Nang City center.
